Buying Passes from a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM)

Ticket Vending Machine (TVM)The off-board fare collection system is an added benifit to RTC customers that makes purchasing fares convenient and hassle-free via ticket vending machines (also known as TVMs, right). TVMs are located at every MAX passenger station, the Downtown Transfer Terminal (DTC) and the South Strip Transfer Terminal (SSTT).

Ticket vending machines sell and validate full fare passes, reduced fare passes, one-day passes and one-ride passes. Please note that one day passes and one trip ridecards are validated and become active upon issue.

How to use TVMs:
Step one Select the pass you want to purchase by pressing one of the buttons adjacent to the video screen
Step one The screen will display the correct amount to pay. Select the payment type: cash, credit card or debit card
Step one Insert bills, coins or a Visa/Mastercard credit/debit card. The TVM will accept $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills. The machine will dispense $20 maximum in change (coins only)
Step one Validate your 30-day pass by inserting it in the slot marked "Validate Card." One-day passes and one-trip ridecards are validated upon issue

*Order Passes Through Mail:
