JetBlue Suspends Captain Who Disrupted Flight

JetBlue Airways Corp. suspended a pilot whose erratic actions forced the unscheduled landing of a New York-to-Las Vegas flight Tuesday, as executives from the airline said there was nothing in the pilot’s record to indicate he was headed for such a breakdown.

Clayton Osbon, the captain of JetBlue Flight 191 who was restrained by passengers after his bizarre behavior prompted his co-pilot to lock him out of the cockpit, has been taken off flight duty but is still on salary pending the outcome of an investigation, Alison Steinberg, a JetBlue spokeswoman said Wednesday.
