Celine Dion will be returning to Las Vegas for a three-year stint at Caesar’s Palace, after having closed out her previous five-year Vegas run in 2007 with the $400 million grossing “A New Day.” Yeah that’s a boatload of money, but you’d be surprised by how dedicated this woman’s fanbase is. MGM grand expecting rating upgrade.

Moody’s Investors Service put its ratings on MGM Mirage (MGM) on review for possible upgrade after the casino operator said it is trying to extend the maturity dates on $5.55 billion of credit lines to 2014 from next year.
Moody’s vice president Peggy Holloway said an extension “would be a positive step forward for MGM with respect to near-term financial flexibility as well as its longer-term ability to remain viable as a going concern.” The proposed amendment also would allow the company to issue more secured debt, which could be used to refinance other borrowings. TAO Nightclub at The Venetian was honored with Nightclub of the Year, while XS at Encore Las Vegas won for New Club of the Year.XS also took the award for Mega-Club of the Year, due in part to its massive outdoor pool area, that includes two levels of VIP seating and a gaming area.Rehab, the Hard Rock’s pool party-reality television show hybrid won for Ongoing Promotion of the Year. Planet Hollywood gets endorsement from Nevada regulators

Nevada casino regulators have given preliminary approval for Harrah’s Entertainment to acquire the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas.
Under the deal endorsed Wednesday by the Gaming Control Board, Harrah’s will acquire $306 million in debt at a discounted rate of less than $70 million and assume Planet Hollywood’s remaining debt of $554 million. More >

British glamour model Katie Price, also known as Jordan, has married her cage-fighter boyfriend in Las Vegas, the couple said in a statement issued by their publicists Wednesday.
Price, 31, wed Alex Reid Tuesday, five months after finalising her divorce from ex-husband, singer Peter Andre.
“We are very much in love and look forward to the future together,” Price and Reid said in a statement issued from London. More >
